Will You Need a DW Code?: Nope!

IC:
Character Name: Arche Klein
Canon: Tales of Phantasia
AU/OC/Previous Game: N/A
Age: 17
Appearance:
Arche's a pretty small girl. She's only 5'2", and she weighs about 82lbs. Her hair is very long, pink, and often pulled back into a long (and messy) ponytail. Her eyes are pink and her skin is fair. Because she's a half-elf, her ears are slightly pointed, although it's not immediately obvious unless someone looks very close. Her clothes are on the puffy side and she wears a lot of pink, purple, and white, with various kinds of jewelry on her. Here is a good image of her.

Cause of Death:
Because I'm having a very difficult time in coming up with a good scenario for her death, I think I'm going to have to settle on her not remembering what happened. So! Yes. She won't remember what happened at all, just that she died.

Impact of Death:
Shock and... well, sadness! Because she had assumed she would make it the hundred years to see Cless, Chester, and Mint again (since she's from the past timeline) and live another fifty after that to see Suzu. She never expected death to happen. However, she wouldn't outwardly show these emotions, and after the initial shock that comes with this new place and hearing it be confirmed, she would try to be herself and brush off anyone that asked if she was okay. She would deal with her feelings in private, definitely.

She would dive headfirst into her new life, though, definitely, and be extra positive and upbeat about their life there! It might take awhile to accept the actual death happening, but she's not really one to sit around and mope.

Character Info:
Arche was born to a human father and an elven mother, and because of that, she's a half-elf. It really wasn't a big deal for a lot of her childhood because she had her family! ... And then it was. The elves were angry at humans and half-elves, and they went out to retrieve all of the elves that weren't in Heimdall and bring them back. While Arche still had a very loving father, the fact that her mother was taken and the sheer dislike for half-elves in general left a bit of a bitter taste in her mouth. She doesn't like to introduce herself as a half-elf, and often keeps the information to herself, even if it's somewhat obvious because of her magic usage.

The first thing that becomes really obvious about Arche is what she will do to help out her friends. When Cless meets her in the game, she's actually possessed by a girl named Rhea, who Arche was very close to. Rhea had died during an attack on the little village, and she wanted vengence! So she asked for Arche's help and she let Rhea possess her. When everything was finished, Rhea gave Arche back her body and passed on. This whole situation shows that Arche cares a lot about her friends and how far she will go to help them if she has to.

In general, Arche is a very upbeat, positive, and playful person. This becomes immediately obvious after she joins the party and begins to tease everyone in it. She wants to have a good time with them and lighten the mood, considering the responsibility they have with handling the Dhaos problem. Arche is quick to befriend everyone in the party! She almost always has a huge smile on her face, and she is always prepared to cheer someone up if they need it. She's quite sassy, too, when the situation calls for it, and she has absolutely no problem with making her opinion known.

However, on their adventure through time (since Phantasia is full of time shenanigans), they eventually ended up having to go to the elven village. Arche was dreading this, and when they arrived, she was told she wasn't allowed in because of she was a half-elf. The others went in, but even despite their concern at leaving her behind, she told them it was okay! There was nothing to worry about. ... Of course, she still snuck in anyway, but if it hadn't been for her mother rescuing her, she would have been killed.

Through more time shenanigans, Arche meets Chester! And they instantly have a lot of issues with each other. While there were bits of her getting easily irritated before this point, it becomes really obvious once Chester is added to the party. They have a lot of disagreements, and while she tries to tease him like she teases the other members of the party, sometimes she pushes it too far and just makes him upset. Despite everything, though, she does eventually come to like Chester! She still pretends that she doesn't, but it's still obvious that she does.

As the group continues through time, she comes to trust and depend on her friends in battle, and this will be no different for the people that she meets in Thusia. She will find people to fight with, and she will trust and depend on them. It's through this trust and dependence that they are able to work as a team and defeat Dhaos for good, so the trust that she built up throughout her journey came in handy during the battle.

The end of the game is probably the saddest for her, even if she had a bit of hope in there, too. She had to go back to her time period - she lived a hundred years in the past compared to the original time Cless, Chester, and Mint came from - and start waiting. Half-elves can live for a thousand years, so she was prepared to wait a hundred years for her friends, and then another fifty for Suzu. It's kind of a depressing thought to her, since she is the only one who will ever see the entire group again due to the fact that she's a half-elf.

Old Game Info:
When Arche arrived in Thusia the first time, she was a hobo for a couple of days! And then she wasn't because Natsume from the Sparklepartment asked her to stay. She settled into Sparkles pretty quickly and ended up fighting GIANT LIZARDS with them not too long after she joined them. Life was pretty normal after that-- or at least, as normal as you can make things in Thusia (in an apartment like Sparkles). From there, she went on to poison Messenger with her terrible cooking and got furniture out of it from T. And then there was a masked sleepover god event, and that was that!

There haven't been any big personality changes at all, really, and her major CR was everyone in the Sparkles apartment.

Abilities (before Powercap):
Arche is an incredibly powerful witch. She controls the elements with ease and can even use her magic to summon meteors and rip things apart on a molecular level. She has all of her spells from low-tier to god-tier, and each of them do something unique and special. All of these spells were learned from books, so this shows that she's quite smart and very good at learning. There is also a SUPER ATTACK!! that she has called Big Bang, and that's basically just a giant burst of energy that severely injures the enemy.

Aside from that, her preferred method of transportation is her broomstick and she will fly everywhere if given the chance. This is because of her magic!

... Also she is a lethal chef and should never be allowed to cook anything for anyone unless someone doesn't value their stomach.

Abilities (after Powercap):
☄ Her god-tier artes will not be available. This means no meteor storms or ripping things apart at the molecular level or black holes. \o/;; She can't do Indignation or Judgement, either, which are super spells that can destroy things just by them happening.

☄ On that same note, though, her super attack/mystic arte will be able to be used, but only when it's a last, desperate attack against an enemy. Using it will knock her out for a good day.

☄ Low-tier spells (fireball, ice needle, stone blast, lightning, and storm) can be spammed to a point. There must be a waiting time of at least 20 seconds between each spell. The spells will not be as strong as they were in canon when they hit, and they will take a lot more out of her.

☄ Mid-tier spells (glaive, ice tornado, eruption, tractor beam, thunder blade, cyclone, and ray) will not be able to be spammed, and can only be used once or twice in a battle. If they're needed more than that, she will have to stop for a break that's longer than a few minutes to catch her breath, and perhaps take a short nap to regain her energy.

☄ High-tier spells (fire storm, rock mountain, tempest, maelstrom, and earthquake) are only things that can happen when she is absolutely desperate. One spell a day, and once it's used, she will be useless in battle and will need to take a very long break and a long nap.

☄ There must be a waiting period between each spell, so she can't spam them forever. The higher level the spell, the longer the waiting period and the longer it takes to cast it.

☄ Flight!! This only takes a very small amount of magic, so she will be able to fly quite a bit. Flying all day without touching the ground will make her tired, though. Also, she is only ever able to fly with her broomstick and she must have it with her in order to fly.

☄ As a mage, she is already quite squishy! With these nerfed powers, she will absolutely not be able to go out on her own, and she will need help unless she wants to die.

Items Brought In: Her broomstick and her jewelry.

1. Here. Arche has appeared in CFUD and she instantly pings a lot of different people because she's a half-elf. She also judges Decus.

2. Here. Arche's official intro post into CFUD. She's being friendly and trying to meet people! Also there is some FUTURE!! drama in there with the Symphonia cast.

3. Here. Arche is teasing Karkat for being really angry about everything all the time.
